Privacy Policy

Last updated October 27, 2026

This policy explains what personal information EROKADS, 5 rue pleyel, saint denis, 93200, france ("Numtell", "we") handles and why. It covers two groups of people: our customers and visitors, and people whose information appears in reports. We are the controller of this information.

Part A — Customers and visitors

1. What we collect

2. How we use it

3. Cookies and browser storage

We use only the cookies the service needs:

While you search, your progress is kept in your browser's session storage and is cleared when you close the tab.

We also use analytics and advertising tools (Microsoft Clarity and/or the Meta pixel) to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our ads. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell our customers' personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run Numtell:

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account, report history and payment records while your account is open, and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. Emails collected during a search that did not lead to a purchase, and searches without an account, are deleted or anonymised once they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Part B — People whose information appears in reports

6. Where report information comes from

When a customer searches a number, a report can include: the carrier, line type and region of the number; spam reports submitted by our users; information from public records and from data licensed from third-party providers, such as names, past addresses and related phone numbers or emails (mainly for US and Canadian numbers); and whether the number appears in known data breaches — only the names and dates of those breaches, never their contents.

We do not access phones, calls, messages or private online accounts, and we do not show anyone's live location. Most report data is fetched when a report is requested; lookup results are cached for 24 hours and kept in the requesting customer's report history.

7. Why we use it

We process this information on the basis of legitimate interests — helping people identify unknown callers, avoid scams and stay safe — balanced by strict rules: reports are for personal use only, may not be used for decisions about credit, insurance, employment or housing (we are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA), and may not be used to stalk or harass anyone.

8. Removing your information

You can ask us to stop showing information connected to your phone number, free of charge, on our removal page. You also have the rights described below.

Part C — Your rights

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent you gave. This includes rights under UK and EU data protection law (GDPR), Canada's PIPEDA, Australia's Privacy Act and US state privacy laws such as California's CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share customers' personal information for cross-context advertising as those laws define it, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.

To use any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we answer within the time the law allows (usually one month). If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

10. International transfers

Some of our providers are based in the United States or other countries. When we transfer personal information abroad, we rely on safeguards the law recognises, such as standard contractual clauses.

11. Security

We use encryption in transit, signed cookies, access controls and limits on how often the service can be queried. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

Numtell is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will change the date at the top when we do; important changes will be announced by email or on the website. Questions or requests: [email protected], or by post to EROKADS, 5 rue pleyel, saint denis, 93200, france.
